General information

We welcome submissions addressing the ASECU 2012 International Conference theme:

DETERMINANTS OF REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT
IN THE CONTEXT OF THE GLOBALIZATION PROCESS

The conference objectives:

  • rating the degree and impact of various aspects (economic liberalization, unconstrained migration of human capital, introduction of new products on a mass scale, constant flow of information) of the globalization process on regional development prospects in different countries;
  • assessment of the significance of endogenous factors of regional development in the era of globalization (case studies in different countries);
  • evaluation of the role of the EU funding in stimulating regional development with special emphasis on economically underdeveloped regions;
  • designating elements of the optimal instruments of regional policy that recognize regional uniqueness and impact of the globalization process.
  • The conference will consist of contributed paper sections and plenary presentations.

Accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings.

The Editorial Board of South Eastern Europe Journal of Economics (SEEJE), the official journal of ASECU, after having the agreement of the authors, plans to publish selected conference papers following a standard refereeing process.

 

The conference official language is English (with the exception of some sessions to be held in Polish).
