Since 1991, there has been
an official partnership between Rzeszów and Bielefeld (twin cities).
After a number of years of mutual co-operation in various fields,
it was decided to establish the European Academy in Rzeszów, with
the seat in the Pedagogical University. Its main aim is to support
the development of contacts within the Carpathian Euroregion, and
also to facilitate the exchange of experiences between the European
Union and Central and Eastern Europe.
