European University Association

The Publishing Office UR was established in 1965. It serves the university community as a professional publisher of scientific studies, monographs, scripts, coursebooks, periodicals and many other occasional publications. Scientists from University of Rzeszów and other Polish and foreign academic centres are authors of the studies. The publications cover basic academic disciplines and interdisciplinary issues. Monographic studies and post-doctoral dissertations are the most important ones.

The Publishing Office and Printing Company work together and are managed by one person - mgr Stanisław Dudziński, therefore editorial and printing activity is both efficient and comprehensive. Editorial staff is the core of The Publishing Office. It consists of 3 essential editors, 1 technical editor, 1 senior bookseller and an expert dealing with trade agreements.

In 1998 The Publishing Office became a member of The Association of Academic Publishers. Thanks to it the publications may be found in various universities abroad, e.g. in Vilnius University Library (since 2000), in Polish Institute and The Main Library of Czech Academy of Sciences (since 2001), The T. Szewczenko University Library and Kiev-Mohyla Academy in Kiev (since 2002). The subsidies from The State Committee for Scientific Research show the essential level of the books. Prizes, distinctions and numerous invitations to fairs show their publishing merits. Nowadays on average 75 titles a year are printed in 1000 publisher's sheets. The books are available in Rzeszów in the seat of The Publishing Office, 12 Cegielniana St., in The University Library called "Libra", which has its branches in The University Library, 12 Cegielniana St. and 14 Jagiellońska St., in the library chain called "Dom Książki", 3 Kościuszko St., 23 Hetmańska St., 6 Gałęzowski St. and some libraries all over Poland.
