Accordingly to the tradition of this series of Schools (SSPCM) we aim to provide participants with a survey of recent achievements and problems connected with adequate description of condensed matter structure in terms of appropriate mathematical tools. We assume that some lectures will be given to (post-) graduate students. During the 7'th SSPCM'2002 we shall discus the following topics:

• Conformal symmetry, central charge, condensation of flux
• Rigged string configurations, Yang Baxter equations and their applications in solid state physics
• Energy band structure in solids

Invited and contributed lectures are assumed up to 45 and 15 minutes respectively. Abstracts of all lectures will be included in the booklet to be distributed at the School. Invited lectures and approved contributions will be published in Proceedings by World Sci., Singapore. We kindly request authors to sent us short abstracts, together with confirmation of participation in the School by June 30, 2002.

• The manuscripts: Authors are kindly asked to bring manuscripts of their lectures to the School, or sent them to the organisers. The deadline for manuscripts of lectures is October 15, 2002. We expect manuscripts in LaTeX (up to 15 pages for a plenary lectures and 6 pages for a contribution on a paper of size A4), sent by e-mail or diskette and accompanied by a printed version.

The School will be held in the hotel "Energetyk" in Myczkowce near Lesko, a little village placed at a dam on the river San and Myczkowce Lake, surrounded by the picturesque landscape of Undercarpatia hills in the south-eastern part of Poland. Organizers will provide a bus (on WEDNESDAY, 11 September 2002):

• from RZESZÓW to Myczkowce at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. (The contact point in Rzeszów is Institute of Physics, University of Rzeszów, Rejtana Str. 16A , room No. 42, ground floor, since 9 a.m.),
• and from KRAKOW to Myczkowce at 5 p.m. (The contact point in Krakow is Institute of Physics, Jagiellonian University, Reymonta Str. 4, room 001A, ground floor, since 9 a.m.)
• registration in "Energetyk" hotel in Myczkowce starts since 6 p.m. on WEDNESDAY, 11 September 2002. The late supper will be served that day.
• A return bus will be provided on Wednesday, 18'th September 2002 after dinner (approx. 2p.m.)

Connections between Warsaw and Krakow are available by several Inter and Euro-City trains (it takes 3 hours) or by plane (it takes 40 minutes). Connections between Warsaw and Rzeszów are available by express train (it takes 5 hours). Some travelers may find it more convenient to approach Krakow strictly by plane (several connections with Europe and the States).
